Candidates must hold the minimum eligibility in terms of education qualification, age limit, and nationality. The required criteria are as mentioned below.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have completed their graduation in any field from a recognized university or board.
Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)
Candidates’ minimum age should be 20 years, and maximum age should not be more than 33 years as on 01/01/2026 to be eligible to apply online for the Railway Section Controller Vacancy 2025. The upper age limit for the reserved category will be provided as per government norms.

RRB Section Controller Recruitment 2025 Selection Process
The selection of the eligible candidates will be done through multiple stages of the recruitment process. Candidates have to appear and qualify in each stage to get selected for the Section Controller post in Indian Railways.
Stage 1- Single Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Stage 2- CBAT
Stage 3- Document Verification
Stage 4- Medical Examination
The final merit list will be based on candidates’ performance in the written examination.
RRB Section Controller Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern
The computer-based test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions from Analytical and Mathematical Capability, Logical Capability and Mental Reasoning. The duration of the exam is 120 minutes with no sectional timing. The weightage of CBT in the merit list is 70% and 30% is for CBAT.
